On the 25th May 2018 a new law came into effect called the General Data Protection Regulation. Amongst other things this requires a website to obtain permission in advance before setting any cookies. Whilst there was already a cookie law, this could be met by assuming agreement if the person continued to browse after being advised, with the new law that is no longer adequate and permission must be obtained.
In addition there is the effect of this law on the Do Not Track setting that some people may use in thier browser, if this is set it must now be intepreted as not allowing cookies to be set, so if you have Do Not Track set, even though no tracking is done, we can not set the cookies that allow you to use and log in to the Forum. On this site accepting cookies will also mean that any Do Not Track setting will be ignored.
