Sedbergh :

Township and focus of an ancient parish in Ewecross wapentake, West Riding of Yorkshire.
This is a large area with other chapelries. It was added to Cumbria during the 1974 re-organisation.
Cautley, St. Mark’s built in 1847.
Cowgill, St. John the Evangelist was built in 1837.
Dent, St. Andrew's, originally a 12th century church, it was rebuilt in 1417, restored in 1590, and again in 1787with further restoration in 1889–90 .
Garsdale, St. John the Baptist church was built in 1861.
Howgill, Holy Trinity was built in 1838 to replace a chapel that was built around 1685.
Sedbergh, St. Andrew's dates from about 1500 though there was another church prior to that. It was refurbished in 1885.
