Brough

(Brough-under-Stainmore) an ancient parish, East ward, Westmorland, comprising Church Brough and Market Brough.

Brough (under-Stainmore), St. Michael, built in 1150 as a Norman Church, but extended in the 14th to 16th centuries.
South Stainmore, St Stephen, dates from 1600, but rebuilt in 1699, 1842 and 1911.
