Wetheral

An ancient parish in Cumberland ward, Cumberland, comprising four divisions: Wetheral, Scotby, Cumwhinton & Cotehill, and Warwick Bridge & Great Corby.
Wetheral Priory was founded as early as 1106 and was removed during the dissolution of the monasteries around 1538.
Holy Trinity Church Wetheral is an early 16th century church but with significant restoration in 1790, 1872 and 1882. It is said to be formally dedicated to St. Constantine and the only church in England with that dedication.
Scotby All Saints was consecrated in 1855, prior to that residents used Wetheral Holy Trinity.
St Paul's , Holme Eden was built in 1845.
St John's at Cotehill was built in 1868.
