Millom

A parish, in Allerdale Above Derwent ward, Cumberland.
Millom is quite a large parish with other chapelries.
Millom, St. George, was built in the 1870's
Millom, Holy Trinity, the earliest parts of the church are 12th century. It has undergone changes in the 13th and 14th century as well as the 19th. It was quite drastically altered in 1930 and at that time some 10th and 11th century artefacts were incorporated.
Haverigg, St.Luke's, built in 1891 though the name Kirksanton (next village) implies there was a church there at the time of the Domesday book.
Thwaites, St. Anne's was built in 1853 and it replaced a church on the other side of the road that was built in 1721.
Ulpha, St John's, there is no record of when it was built, but it is known that a church existed here in the 13th century.
