Kirkland

An ancient parish, Leath ward, Cumberland.
Culgaith, All Saints, is dated 1756 but that is the date it was rebuilt and there has been a church on this site for some time having been built as a chapel of ease to Kirkland by the lord of the manor.
Kirkland St. Lawrence, predates 1294 and is possibly of Anglo-Saxon origin, though it was rebuilt in 1768 and again in 1880.
Skirwith, St. John, built 1856 appears to have only one fairly recent marriage register.
