British History On LineBritish History Online is a collection of nearly 1300 volumes of primary and secondary content relating to British and Irish history, and histories of empire and the British world. BHO also provides access to 40,000 images and 10,000 tiles of historic maps of the British Isles.
British Library Newspaper CatalogueHolds over 34,000 titles from the UK and overseas, or 60 million individual issues. The newspaper collection includes the ongoing legal deposit collection of UK and Irish newspapers. However on-line access is via the British Newspaper Archive see separate entry under Newspapers, this website only deals with physical access via the British Library.

National Archives of IrelandThe National Archives hold records of the modern Irish state from its foundation to approximately 1986, It has an on line catalogue with about 2 million entries, mainly more modern ones.
National Library of Australia - Genealogy DatabasesA number of genealogy resources, go to the website and in the main menu click on eResources and then select Browse eResources and in the menu column select from Genealogy. Not all indexes are available on line some can only be accessed from the Archive Libraries.
Scotlands PeopleThe ScotlandsPeople website is the official Scottish Government site for searching government records and archives. Searching the index is free but access to the records is pay per view through purchase of credits.
UK BMD This site provides 2793 links to websites that offer on-line transcriptions of UK births, marriages, deaths and censuses. A wide range of other indexes and transcriptions are also available for most counties, these may include parish records, wills, monumental inscriptions etc
