Vacancies on Council - Help Needed

VACANCIES ON COUNCIL
The society is run by a number of volunteers who give up thier time to carry out the duties of the council. There a two vacancies on the council and anyone who is interested in helping is encouraged to get in touch with one of the officials listed below. Your help is needed to keep the society functioning.

THE POST OF SECRETARY
This position has been vacant since last October and we really do need the support of our members to help keep the Society functioning.
The main role of the Secretary is to act as point of contact for the Society, receive and answer e-mail queries or direct then to the appropriate Council Member; prepare and distribute the agenda and take minutes at the quarterly council meetings.

THE POST OF TREASURER
John Hartley is currently our Treasurer and has been doing this job with expertise for many years but made it known at the last AGM that he wished to give up at the end of this year. i.e. at the AGM in October 2010. It is essential that our finances are kept in order and all the appropriate records prepared for the Charity Commissioners.
