The activation link I was sent does not work

This is usually because your mail program has split the link on to two lines as it is quite long. In this case you have two alternatives:

1. Copy and paste both parts of the activation link into the address bar of your browser and go to that page.

or

2. Make a note of the activation code that is in your email near the bottom and return to the main forum page and find the link near the log in link at the top left that says 'Did you miss your activation email?'  click on it and this will take you to a page that you can insert your activation code to activate your subscription.
